Brittany Raffle, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has come to the Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh’s South Hills office with experience working with a wide range of age, genders, and cultural backgrounds. She also has experience with family counseling, couple’s counseling, and individuals in the outpatient setting. She has experience working with adults, adolescents, and children on grief, trauma, mood disorders, self-esteem, and healthy body image. Brittany incorporates open and free communication, mindfulness, nature, art, and music into her practice. She is able to adapt to each client’s needs and use techniques that work best based on each client’s preference. Art, music, and nature can be the greatest healers, which is why she uses these aspects in therapy to help others be open to discovering parts of themselves through these untraditional practices. Brittany believes that each client has the ability to be their best self and that everyone’s journey with life looks different. She views therapy as a guide for getting through life’s challenges and as a place to grow in order to use skills in daily life, even after therapy.
Brittany completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Marshall University in 2016 and her Masters from Chatham University in 2018. In college Brittany was active on campus and in the community, volunteering and advocating for mental health and overall healthy human connection. She also did a work study in an integrated mental health setting, where physical and mental health were viewed as co-occurring. Brittany has also traveled to Haiti as a part of this outreach and connecting with those in the world through helping with proper housing, drinking water, and education; all core players in overall well-being. Her passion for helping others comes out in many ways. To this day, she holds these values and integrates them into her therapy and views physical and mental health as core components to improving overall health.
In her leisure time, Brittany likes traveling and adventures. She enjoys time in the outdoors, sports, hiking, yoga, CrossFit, cooking, gardening, and sustainable, ecofriendly living. In the summer she enjoys all water activities, especially surfing, while in the winter she is often on the mountains skiing. Brittany is married with 2 cats. She incorporates physical and mental wellbeing into her own life through daily exercise, self-care, spending time in nature, and quality time with family and friends.
