Samantha Lalama, MS is a sex positive, LGBTQIA+ and relationship affirming therapist providing mental health services in Monroeville. Samantha believes in a holistic approach to introspective healing. Life can be challenging and unpredictable and no two individuals experience the same challenges. Samantha recognizes the uniqueness each person possesses and for that reason she has an eclectic approach to psychotherapy, drawing from different theoretical techniques such as but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy, person centered therapy and motivational interviewing.
Her specialties include but are not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, personality disorders, and life coaching. It is her goal to cultivate a warm, safe environment to process feelings and emotions. Samantha is invested in her clients overall well-being and guarantees high-quality care. Her goal is to assist clients in doing the inner work to empower them to live the life they desire.
Education and Experience
Samantha attended Point Park University where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science. She then went on to complete a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Duquesne University. Samantha is a certified Reiki Level II practitioner who believes that energy work can serve as a collaborative treatment measure.
Samantha has experience working with both in-home and outpatient clinical settings. She has worked extensively with families in the child-welfare system and has experience working with individuals to empower them to achieve their goals.
