

Kristen Ann Walker, MS Ed, LPC, is a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist who has worked in the Mental Health field since 1995. She has treated a diverse range of clients from children, teenagers, and adults in individual and group therapy settings. Kristen has helped clients heal from symptoms related to and including Autism and spectrum related disorders, Addiction, Anxiety, Depression, trauma, personality disorders, psychiatric disorders, and major mental health diagnoses. Her treatment approaches include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT, ACT, EMDR, systematic desensitization, and social skills training as appropriate for her clients growth and mental wellness. She is also the Clinical Director at Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh.
In addition to being an expert counselor offering cognitive behavioral therapy, Kristen is trained and certified as a nicotine cessation specialist to further help her clients optimize their wellness. She is also a trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) practitioner. Kristen works with individual clients to create a warm, welcoming, and affirming space, that promotes growth, discovery, and recovery from the range of mental health related disorders. Kristen recognizes that therapy is a collaborative process and her aim is for everyone who participates in therapy to leave with the tools necessary to continue on the path of wellness, mindfulness, and greater emotional health.
Kristen has provided therapy to clients in a diverse range of settings including UPMC, Western Psychiatric Center and Mercy Behavioral.
As a strong advocate of self-care, Kristen practices what she preaches by playing tennis, spending time with family and friends, hiking the many trails of Western Pennsylvania, and playing with her Boston Terrier dog.
