

Jennifer Richards, CRNP, is a highly qualified psychiatric nurse practitioner with dual board certifications in psychiatric mental health (PMHNP-BC) and family practice (FNP-BC). This unique dual certification equips Jennifer with the comprehensive knowledge needed to assist patients of all ages, including children, in addressing their mental health concerns from a holistic, integrative mind-body perspective.
Jennifer specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in both adults and children; she also has experience treating bipolar/mood disorders, eating disorders, and behavioral and emotional disorders in children and adolescents. Jennifer provides a safe and non-judgmental space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community to receive psychiatric care.
Jennifer received her Bachelors in the Science of Nursing from Slippery Rock University, and her education as a nurse practitioner from both Clarion University and Regis College. As a nurse practitioner she has previously worked for Allegheny Health Network, and is experienced in outpatient care of individuals across the lifespan as well as school-based treatment, intensive outpatient programs, and inpatient psychiatric care. She practices using evidenced-based treatments.
Jennifer was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area. She lives with her partner and their two lovely daughters, four dogs, and a flock of chickens. In her free time she enjoys yoga, gardening, live music, and trying to get through her never-ending To Read list.
The initial 1-hour long intake must be completed in person at our Monroeville location. Twenty minute recurring follow up appointments can be done virtually.
