Corryn Ling, Marketing Director
What’s your role at the Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh, and what led you to join the team?
Hi, I’m Corryn Ling, the Marketing Director at the Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh. My mission is to build bridges between our community and the vital mental health resources they need to thrive. My goal is for every client to feel a sense of relief and support from their very first interaction with our brand. I am deeply passionate about mental health advocacy, and my role allows me to impact our community on both a local and national level. I oversee our:
Events & Creative Strategy: Directing all community events and outreach initiatives to bring our mission directly to our communities
Design & Graphics: Overseeing the visual identity of our brand, ensuring that every design and graphic reflects our commitment to wellness and professional care.
Brand Voice: Ensuring our message remains clear, health is a priority, and professional help is accessible.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of supporting the administrative side of mental health services
For me, the most rewarding aspect is witnessing the moment a barrier is broken. Mental health and insurance can be a maze. When our administrative systems work perfectly, a client goes from feeling overwhelmed to feeling seen and supported before they even meet their therapist.
What is your favorite thing about working at the Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh?
If I had to pin down my favorite part of my role, it’s the authenticity of our mission. In the marketing world, I’m often tasked with “polishing” a brand to make it look good. At the Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh, I don’t have to do that. The heart and soul of our centers are already present in all our staff members.
Because our mental health services are built on genuine care and professional expertise, my job is simply to share that truth with our community. We don’t just market counseling and wellness; we provide a space where healing is the priority.
Describe your ideal mental health self-care routine after a busy workday.
I love getting to relax with my husband and animals. its so rewarding after a hard day of work to come home and relax with those I love most and enjoy their presence, even if its just in complete silence.
