Kierra Price
Hi, I’m Kierra Price, LPC, NCC, and I’m dedicated to helping people achieve mental wellbeing and personal growth. I have a particular passion for supporting people navigating AuDHD (a non-clinical term for individuals with both autism spectrum disorder and ADHD), childhood trauma, family conflict, relational issues, gender and sexuality, dissociative disorders (DID), and body image concerns. I also work with individuals, couples, and families—including LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC youth and adults—to address depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, relationship challenges, identity exploration, neurodiversity, and stress management.
In my counseling space, my focus is to support, empower, and advocate for all voices and stories. You can expect a warm, empathetic, nonjudgmental, and respectful counseling experience with me. My eclectic approach to counseling is grounded in a feminist and relational-cultural framework, while also drawing from several additional theoretical orientations, to create a meaningful and empowering space for you to heal and process your relationships, with both yourself and others. My counseling space is a safe, open environment for all marginalized voices and bodies to cultivate a space for authentic healing.
My goals as a counselor are rooted in empowering clients to build self-confidence and identify inner strengths while healing from life challenges. My role is to listen with empathy, ask thought-provoking questions, and offer tools that can help clients move forward in a way that feels right for them. Together, we will work towards establishing meaningful goals that promote overall well being and self-acceptance.
Education and Experience
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a designation awarded by the National Board for Certified Counselors that represents a nationally recognized standard of professional excellence. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Allegheny College and a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Carlow University, where I received in-depth training in empirically studied approaches to counseling.
Hobbies and Interests
Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and my dogs, Tenzin and Minnie. I also enjoy painting, cooking, coloring, doing puzzles, watching reality TV, and being outside in the sun.
