Justina Williams, MA, LPC is Licensed Professional Counselor providing therapy at our Pittsburgh office. Justina has had years of experience providing effecting therapy solutions to individuals of all ages including children, adolescents, transitional age, adults, and families. Her areas of experience include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, adjustment disorders, grief, trauma, eating disorders, life transitions, managing day to day stress, parenting, ADHD, anger, self esteem concerns and behavioral concerns.
Justina is dedicated to assisting clients in reaching their optimal level of positive mental health and well being through empathy, empowerment, communication, psycho-education, developing positive coping skills and self care plans. She encourages and empowers all of the families and clients she works with to put forth positive efforts towards accomplishing their goals throughout therapy.
Education & Experience
Justina’s academic achievements include the honor or earning her her Bachelors degree in Child Development and Family Relations from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She then continued her education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, earning her masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling before continuing on the licensure tract to become a licensed professional counselor.
Justina spent the fist part of her career providing care to her clients at Pittsburgh Mercy Behavioral where she gained skills in helping clients overcome symptoms related to complex emotional and behavioral health disorders. Justina’s theoretical approach to counseling is person- centered utilizing Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. From the years of experience that Justina has acquired she knows that no matter where a person has been or where they are going, all individuals can benefit from the potential that therapy offers. When in therapy with Justine, you can trust that she will create a warm and nurturing space for you to find solutions for the personal and situations scenarios which have led you to enter therapy.
Hobbies & Interests
When Justina is not providing therapy to her cherished clients she enjoys connecting with her wide array of friends and family, she is a proud fur kid mom and is often happiest when playing with her English bulldog. Justina also advocates for the power of oxygen and energy that happens during vigorous exercise of any type. For Justina, self care and wellness is not just about being on the go, she also loves her down time catching up on non-fiction of fiction books related to psychology, creating just about any sort of craft, listening to music, traveling as far as she can during weekend get-a-ways and trying new recipes in her Insta-pot.
