Daniel Rozovsky
Therapy for Burnout
Hi, I’m Daniel Rozovsky, a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor based in Pittsburgh. I work with individual adults, young adults, and couples who want relief and change, and who also want to understand themselves more clearly. The primary force behind any successful work and feeling like life is moving is interest, and that’s something you will find in our work.
Who I Work With
I welcome clients dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, ADHD, grief and loss, low self-esteem, trauma-related symptoms, sexual life difficulties, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. I also find it interesting to work with people who feel disorganized or overwhelmed by responsibilities, including clients in demanding roles.
Many diagnoses and symptom clusters are common human responses to chronic stress, unmet needs, early learning, and nervous system overload. In the current info-filled world, we are constantly bombarded by weaponized “journal” psycho-lingo, where you may be called a “narcissist” by a bitter ex or told that you are “projecting” by your parent in an argument. You won’t find it here. I will take time to accurately formulate a diagnosis and separate it from your personality traits, which deserve to be recognized as such.
My Approach
In my practice I draw from psychodynamic and psychoanalytic perspectives, but also integrate evidence-based tools from CBT and DBT, including emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and habit-building strategies to make change feel attainable and results clearer. I pay attention to language and meaning, and I often use narrative work to help clients reshape the stories they have carried for years. When it supports your goals, I can use brief measures to track symptoms over time, but the most important data remains your lived experience.
In the past, clients have expressed that they appreciate the slower, more deliberate pacing of our work. I strongly believe that the therapist is there to listen and it is the client’s sacred right to fill the void between with their story. A therapist’s job is that of a detective, connecting dots that might’ve gone unnoticed for years and explaining the links that might’ve been misunderstood.
Education and Experience
I received my education overseas at the Russian State University for Humanities, Institute of Lev Vygotsky, one of the best and most recognized places of learning psychology in Russia. I obtained my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology with a recommendation for publication in 2021. I am currently continuing my education with a focus on classic and Lacanian Psychoanalysis.
Hobbies & Interests
Outside of work, I recharge through reading and writing, TTRPG (mostly as a Game Master), playing musical instruments, cooking, and creative projects.
