Brittany Jarrell, MSW, LCSW utilizes evidence-based approaches, with a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while tailoring her work to meet the unique needs of each. individual. She integrates techniques from Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and other modalities based on what clients respond to best. Brittany believes that therapy is not one-size-fits-all and prioritizes a flexible, personalized approach to care. Brittany takes a holistic, person-centered approach and is committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel comfortable being open and honest. She understands the vulnerability that comes with therapy and strives to ensure each person feels heard, respected, and understood. Her work focuses on helping clients build on their strengths while developing practical, real-life strategies they can apply outside of sessions to foster meaningful and lasting progress. She values a collaborative therapeutic relationship, meeting clients where they are and working alongside them to navigate challenges, improve functioning, and move toward their goals. Education & Experience
Brittany earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Radford University and went on to complete her Master of Social Work through the Advanced Standing program at Kutztown University, where she also received a certificate in mental health. She additionally holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and maintains an interest in the connection between movement and mental health. Brittany has experience working with a wide range of populations across the lifespan. Her background includes roles as a Behavioral Specialist Consultant and Mobile Therapist for children and adolescents, a case manager in a community mental health setting supporting adults with severe and persistent mental health conditions, and a hospital social worker. She has also completed internships in diverse settings including domestic violence centers, schools, dialysis centers, and child welfare services. Her experience includes crisis intervention, case management, and supporting individuals through a variety of life stressors.
Hobbies
Outside of her professional role, Brittany enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 young children, reading, traveling, and staying active.
