Matt Dudley, Practice Manager
What’s your role at Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh, and what led you to join the team?
Hi! I’m Matt, the Practice Manager at the Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh. Working in mental health is important to me because of the real impact it has on people’s lives, and I’m proud to be part of a team that takes that seriously. As Practice Manager, my focus is on operations and keeping the day-to-day running smoothly, so our clinicians can do their best work for our clients and community.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of supporting the administrative side of mental health services?
Knowing that behind-the-scenes work has a real front-facing impact. When things run smoothly, whether that’s a seamless client interaction, an efficient online system or platform, or a smooth onboarding experience for new team members, it means our clinicians can focus on what they do best. Being part of that support system is something I take a lot of pride in.
What is your favorite thing about working at Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh?
The people and the mission. Being part of a team that genuinely cares about mental health and wellness, for clients and for each other, makes a real difference in how you show up every day.
Describe your ideal mental health self-care routine after a busy workday.
You can usually find me at the local theater, either performing on stage or working backstage. When I’m not in rehearsal, I’m probably playing video games with my siblings or catching up with friends. Staying connected to the things and people I love is how I recharge and keep a healthy balance between work and life.
