Celebrating Black Owned Businesses in Pittsburgh This Juneteenth & Beyond

For Black History Month, we shared an Instagram Reel highlighting 11 Black owned businesses in Pittsburgh to celebrate some of the amazing Black entrepreneurs in our community. The Reel was shared over 1,000 times and reached more than 50,000 people. But what made it truly meaningful was the incredible community response.

Comment after comment poured in with recommendations for other Black owned businesses throughout Pittsburgh. The thread turned into an organic directory of Black owned businesses, with community members proudly sharing their favorite spots and hidden gems.

On this Juneteenth, we wanted to compile all those recommendations into one comprehensive resource. Juneteenth represents freedom, progress, and the ongoing fight for equality. Supporting Black owned businesses reflects these values and helps foster economic empowerment in Pittsburgh.
