Trauma Informed Care
Landa Harrison, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Trauma Expert and Consultant, Certified Teacher, Professional Trainer and Coach. Landa has made her mark on the field of mental health counseling—she brings over 25 years of experience in mental health, education, private practice, public health, and the non-profit sector focusing primarily on trauma informed care and best practice clinical interventions.
Landa is skilled to help her clients effectively manage a range of behavioral health needs, including anxiety, depression, relational problems, and LGBTQ issues, she also offers couples and family counseling. She has been trained in CBT, DBT, Trauma Art Narrative Therapy, TF-CBT, Narrative Exposure Therapy and cultural development. Landa is also a co-author of the Sanctuary Model’s implementation materials, clinical trainings for all levels of staff and specialized training utilizing trauma informed care to address client’s unique needs.
Landa is an internationally recognized organizational consultant and trauma expert personally connected to a purpose and cause. Her work is to provide space in which people can connect and contribute around their call to action. Illuminating complexity, inspiring difficult conversations and supporting transformation requires agility, commitment and understanding. Helping others learn how to negotiate the impact of trauma, chronic stress and adversity is a core element of Landa’s practice.
Over the past twenty six years, Landa has been driven to dedicate her education, career and resources to improving the human condition by creating disruptive forces that generate collective social impact.
Traveling the world with a platform of trauma informed care enabled Landa to treat, teach, coach, and consult with individuals and organizations courageous enough to disrupt the status quo by joining the social movement of care. It takes bravery to move out of your comfort zone, to take chances, to transform and to innovate. Her vision is to generate a global norm dedicated to caring for and strengthening ourselves, our families and our communities. Achieving this goal requires humility, courage, a willingness and robust commitment to personal improvement, creative collaboration and mindfulness.

Often, Landa is both the keeper and the holder of this hope. For her own wellness routine, Landa enjoys hiking and rock climbing with her puppies and family, playing and being silly as frequently as possible and taking in the beauty of nature. She finds that taking time for her friends, family and even myself restore her energies each and every day!
