People seek online therapy for many reasons including ease of scheduling, to gain access to care if there are few mental health options in close proximity to them, for those who are in isolation during times of public health crises and quarantine, to reduce drive or commute time, and for those with certain mental health diagnosis who are less likely to feel comfortable coming into an office.
Our providers use multiple HIPAA compliant online platforms to help you gain access to the therapy that you are seeking. Whether individual online counseling, online marriage counseling, online sex therapy, family counseling, and Online Group Therapy, we are here to help you using advanced technology systems to ensure your privacy, security and access to counseling. Online therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy and yet it provides an ease of access that in-person sessions can not always provide.
With our combined 650+ years of counseling experience, our online therapists use evidenced-based treatment options. Our integrative and customized approach for each client is why we’ve gotten hundreds of 5-star reviews.
Online Therapy Covered by Insurance
If you’re looking for online counseling services that take insurance you’ve come to the right place.
Many insurance companies do offer their consumers access to online therapy as long as their therapist is licensed in the state where they are seeking online counseling options. During the current time of public health crises, health insurance companies are making it even easier to access online counseling through insurance. Please be assured that all of our licensed counselors do hold Pennsylvania Board Accreditation.
If you’re curious whether you can transition to in person therapy sessions after online therapy sessions, the answer is yes! As long as you let our team know which of our centers you prefer we will be sure to pair you with a licensed mental health counselor who is near you.
Telepsychiatry Covered by Insurance
While online therapy encompasses a range of therapeutic interventions, Telepsychiatry specifically focuses on psychiatric services delivered remotely. This includes psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing support for individuals dealing with various mental health conditions.
1. Accessibility to Psychiatric Care: Telepsychiatry eliminates geographical barriers, making mental health care accessible to individuals residing in various locations. Whether in the heart of Pittsburgh or a more remote area, you can now access expert telepsychiatry from the comfort of your own home.
2. Timely Medication Management: If you are in need of medication management for your mental health condition, telepsychiatry offers a solution. You can have virtual consultations with our psychiatric nurse practitioner who can assess your needs, prescribe medications, and provide ongoing monitoring—all from a distance. This timely access to medication management contributes to better mental health outcomes.
3. Enhanced Privacy and Comfort: Similar to online therapy, telepsychiatry creates a private and comfortable environment for you to engage in psychiatric care. This is especially significant for those who may feel uncomfortable or vulnerable discussing psychiatric concerns in a traditional office setting.
4. Flexibility and Convenience: With telepsychiatry, you have the flexibility to schedule appointments that better suit your daily life. This is particularly advantageous if you have a busy schedule, mobility issues, or transportation limitations, as it allows you to receive timely care without the need to commute to a physical location.
