Lisa Kalkstein, Administrative Supervisor
What’s your role at the Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh, and what led you to join the team?
Hi, I’m Lisa Kalkstein and I am the Administrative Supervisor and I work out of the therapy practice Greensburg location. I joined the Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh team three years ago. I was drawn to the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives by supporting a team dedicated to mental health and wellness.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of supporting the administrative side of mental health services?
The most rewarding aspect of my role is knowing that, no matter what challenges someone is facing, we’re here to listen and help. It’s fulfilling to be part of a team that’s just a phone call away from making a positive impact in someone’s life.
What is your favorite thing about working at Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh?
My favorite thing about working at Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh is the compassionate and kind approach our therapists and staff bring to every situation. Our practice is a comprehensive resource where all of your mental health needs can be met, whether with our therapists, psychiatric staff, or psychologists.
Describe your ideal mental health self-care routine after a busy workday.
After a busy workday, I love to unwind by spending quality time with my family, cooking, reading, riding my bike, and taking long walks with my dog. Staying healthy and connected with loved ones is my way of practicing self-care.
