Kristen Rasely, Administrative Assistant
What’s your role at the Counseling and Wellness Center, and what led you to join the team?
Hi, I am Kristen Rasely and I am the Administrative Assistant at the Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh—I work out of the therapy practice Cranberry location. I was in the process of making a career change and came across CWC, after doing my research, I realized what fantastic things they do and knew I had to be a part of it all!!
What’s the most rewarding aspect of supporting the administrative side of mental health services?
It’s the connection with the clients and knowing that even in small ways, I’m making a difference. Whether it’s a kind word, a compassionate gesture, or simply being there to listen, it brings a deep sense of fulfillment. Each day feels like a success when I can help someone feel supported or understood. And working alongside such a caring and supportive team makes it all the more rewarding—we truly uplift each other, both in and out of the office!
What is your favorite thing about working at CWC?
It’s hard to choose just one thing because I truly love everything about this company. What really stands out to me is our mission: “To enhance the health and well-being of our clients, providing support on their journey to improved mental health and overall wellness.” These words resonate deeply with me, and I see the impact they have on our clients every day. From the incredible staff to our amazing clients, and of course, our inspiring founder, Stephanie, who has built such an invaluable resource—CWC is a place I’m proud to be a part of!
Describe your ideal mental health self-care routine after a busy workday.
My ideal mental health self-care routine is still a work in progress, but I’m learning to embrace the small things that help me recharge. Life outside of work is busy, but I take moments for myself, stay positive, and remain true to who I am. Since joining the CWC team, I’ve started practicing better breathing techniques—just baby steps for now, but they make a difference. I’m realizing how essential self-care is, and while I’m still working on it, I know that every day is an opportunity for growth and to be a better version of myself!
