Shawn Fertitta finds healing and connection though nature and the energy that connects us all. As a Reiki Master, certified Forest Therapy Guide through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs, meditation guide, mindfulness coach and sound therapist, Shawn hopes to pass along wisdom that he has learned along his journey.
After years of struggling with depression and anxiety, Shawn turned to mindfulness, in conjunction with talk therapy, to radically improve his mental health and start living an authentic life. He is passionate about sharing what he has learned and suggests ways to bring mindfulness into our daily routine. A series of small changes can make a huge impact on health and happiness.
Reiki is a Japanese relaxation technique where the practitioner funnels life-giving energy to the participants. Like water out of a garden hose, participants can use that energy in any way that feels right to them. If your intension is to relax, release and/or heal, the universe will provide. Reiki can be performed hands-on, hands-off, or over time and space, so Reiki is accessible to all comfort levels.
Sound therapy works in a similar fashion. The pitch and rhythm of the instruments, like sound bowls and tuning forks, remove energetic blockages, evening out your energies to promote healthier well-being.
After several years as a mindfulness guide, nature called upon Shawn to become a bridge to the more-than-human-world so he followed his passion to Forest Therapy. With nature as inspiration, a forest therapy guide leads walks that encourage empathy and compassionate relationships with ourselves, each other, and the natural world around us.
We are all capable of our own healing and happiness. And with a guide like Shawn, you too can achieve a state where you can tap into your connection to all that is and move in flow with your intensions.
Shawn has a beautiful family who supports and encourages him in any adventure that calls him. Lori, his wife of 26 years, is a holistic health coach and their beautiful daughter, Grace, is Shawn’s most influential teacher.
