Tyler Fox
Hello, I’m Tyler Fox, a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience in the mental health field since 2019. As a person centered therapist, I focus on creating a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can explore and better understand yourself. By offering unconditional positive regard and engaging authentically, I aim to help you feel at ease and empowered to reflect on your experiences and values. This approach allows you to take control of your personal growth, naturally guiding your path to change.
I’ve worked with clients facing a range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, personality disorders, and trauma. Over the past five years, I’ve used CBT to help clients manage anxiety and challenge recurring thoughts. I also consider how lifestyle factors, such as diet and screen time, impact mental well-being and work with clients to break unhelpful habits.
I particularly enjoy couples and family counseling, especially during challenging times in relationships. Relationships are a crucial part of our lives, and I believe that healthier connections are always possible—both with others and with ourselves.Overall, I want to support you in making the changes you want in your life by helping you process difficult emotions and challenge negative thoughts.
Education and Experience
I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg in 2017 and earned my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Carlow University in 2019. I’ve been in private practice since graduation and obtained my professional counseling license in 2021.
Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, I enjoy being in nature—whether kayaking, biking, or hiking with my girlfriend and our two dogs, Ruger and Buddy. Sports are a big part of my life; I enjoy playing golf and hope to visit a golf course in every state one day. I’m a big fan of the Steelers and Penguins, and in winter, you’ll often find me skiing at Seven Springs.
