Angeline Buczkowski, MS, LPC, LBS, NCC, a Neurodiversity affirming therapist, offers individual counseling to children, adolescents and adults. Angeline specializes in Anxiety Disorders, Autism Spectrum and PTSD and other trauma related disorders.
Angeline’s treatment approach is evidence based and is rooted in a deep respect for the individuality and uniqueness of each client that she serves. Angeline will work with you to achieve change and balance with the application of scientifically verified counseling approaches. These approaches can assist in behavioral modifications as well as enhancing relationships, coping skills, emotional resilience and overall greater patience, understanding, and intimacy with ourselves and others. Angeline’s approaches are behavioral in nature, and she utilizes cognitive behavioral strategies in conjunction with mindfulness techniques and positive psychology. Angeline has completed the requirements to become a Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Provider, which is an evidence-based treatment for PTSD.
Therapy with Angeline begins with a thorough intake assessment. This part of the counseling process aims to gain an understanding of the individual and their support systems, to assess their internal personality strengths, and external allies for support. Angeline believes that it is important to meet individuals where they are and takes a collaborative approach. Using these strengths, Angeline will then create a treatment plan which will outline the areas for change that the individual.
Education & Experience
Angeline is a graduate of Chatham University, where she received her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology. Angeline has experience working in a variety of levels of care including in-home therapy where she provided children and adolescents with significant mood or behavioral difficulties with therapy that included individual and family support. Angeline has also supported children, adult children and their families with support who were impacted by physical and intellectual disabilities.
During Angeline’s master studies she also worked in a Partial Hospitalization and Acute Partial Hospitalization program where she offered individual, group and family support to adolescents with mental health diagnosis including mood disorders, ODD, anxiety disorders and trauma related disorders. Angeline has also group experience working with adolescent females, anger management and social skills for those impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Angeline has also offered mentoring and training in her previous agency where she trained masters and bachelor staff to help assist families. Angeline also developed a program specific training to help other clinicians with understanding of how trauma impacts individuals as well as families. While here at the Counseling and Wellness Center, Angeline has taken additional training focused on Anxiety Disorders, Trauma related Disorders, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness skills and has completed Level 1 training in the Gottman Method. Angeline has also completed the requirements to be a CPT provider for individuals impacted by trauma.
Hobbies & Interests
Angeline enjoys meditation, creative activities, listening to music and taking in the tranquility of the outdoors. Angeline works to promote wellness in herself and her family and is passionate about mind-body awareness and fostering a connection to physical rhythms and emotional frequency of herself and others. When Angeline is not providing counseling, she enjoys a multitude of wellness activities, interests, and hobbies. She is a distance runner, she trains in the gym, and is also an avid meditation practitioner. Recognizing that breathing and mindfulness are an important pathway to emotional health and enhanced well-being.
