Virginia Corbett
Counseling Near Me
Virginia Corbett, LPC, BCC works with couples, families and individuals who are navigating transitions and blockages on their personal and relational journey towards emotional wellness. She has great respect for the therapeutic process and celebrates the positive transformations in the lives of her clients. She feels it is a privilege to be able to offer therapeutic support and energizing coaching practices as her clients break generational patterns and uncover their best selves.
Virginia believes emotional wellness has never been more critical individually and culturally as it is today. She feels that the unprecedented stressors and isolation that we are facing both as individuals and communities has wreaked havoc on our mental health and relationships. We are a generation who has a critical need for accessible support networks and practical hands on answers for how to live a healthy life and maintain healthy relationships. She is thrilled to work with mental health practitioners who care deeply and want to be part of the solution to this crisis.
As an emotional wellness expert and advocate, Virginia embraces a holistic approach to empowering people as they attain optimal health and self-integration. She sees people as holistic beings and feels that integrating our parts, emotionally, physically and spiritually into a self-integrated human is imperative to gain optimal access to the best we can be. She has proven this time and again in her work as a licensed professional counselor and board-certified life coach. During the therapeutic process Virginia utilizes Imago Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Internal Family System therapy.
Education & Experience
Virginia earned an MA in Marriage and Family Counseling at Geneva College, and a BA in Business Administration at Fort Lewis College. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a member of the Certified Coaches Federation.
Virginia’s professional interest in holistic emotional wellness began in the early 2000s, as she attended training on the impact of the gut/brain connection and the subsequent effects on emotional health. The importance of the gut’s microbiome, the systematic approach to emotional healing, and the role of nutrition on emotional wellness launched a journey that would become her passion.
In 2013 she founded (and later sold) a multi-location juice and wellness bar with supportive functional foods, supplements, and educational techniques. Working with customers and clients as they find their voice for their own emotional wellness needs, Virginia observed a 7-step process for self integration and developed a (patent pending) model to help guide people on their journey to becoming their best self. She is thrilled to announce her book and support materials for her model will be available in the fall of 2022.
