Women, Sex, and Marriage
CEU Course For Therapists
We are thrilled to announce our groundbreaking “Women, Sex, and Marriage” CEU Course. Discover new insights into sexual expression within marriages, especially from a woman’s perspective, and elevate your couples counseling expertise.
As pioneers in modern couples counseling, we are excited to share our expertise and offer you the chance to be part of a transformative experience that sets new standards in therapeutic excellence. This groundbreaking course offers invaluable tools and evidence-based interventions to foster fulfilling connections between couples.
“Women, Sex, and Marriage” is designed to address the pattern of female unresponsiveness in marriage, which may contribute to an increase in emotional stress, marital discord/divorce, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, guilt, and shame. This program operates from a holistic approach as focusing on merely the physical dimensions of sexuality may not adequately address the issues behind sexual unresponsiveness. The program will address marital relationship factors of friendship, trust, intimacy, and partnership, explore the impact of past or current trauma or abuse, identify the influence of negative messages learned about self and sexuality from various contexts including family and culture, and review the female libido, arousal, and response cycles to gain greater insight, sexual response, and relationship satisfaction.
Whether you’re a helping professional or someone passionate about understanding women, sex, and marriage, this program offers valuable insights and resources. By participating in “Women, Sex, and Marriage,” you will:
- Gain deep insight into the factors shaping core beliefs about sexual expression in marriage.
- Identify and address barriers that hinder healthy sexual expression.
- Learn about the critical relational elements essential for sustaining a fulfilling sex life throughout marriage.
- Understand the changes in sexuality that occur over the course of a marriage.

About The CEU Course Instructor
Amy White, a licensed professional counselor practicing in Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Florida, is delighted to introduce the transformative course, “Women, Sex, and Marriage.” In today’s culture, where sex and sexuality permeate literature, films, advertising, and social media, it’s crucial to recognize that not all experiences and internalizations lead to a healthy sex life in marriage.
Throughout her career, Amy has engaged in meaningful conversations with women and couples, where the intimate topic of sexual expression often takes center stage. For couples experiencing positive dynamics, they seek to enhance their connection even further. However, for those facing challenges, addressing the subject can be daunting, especially when a woman feels sexually unresponsive or develops an aversion to sexual expression.
