Gabby Cubakovic
Gabby Cubakovic, MS, NCC, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor known for her person-centered approach to mental health therapy, tailored to meet clients exactly where they are on their journey and guide them towards their desired destination. With a toolbox that includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing (MI), and solution-focused therapy (SFT), Gabby empowers her clients with the tools they need to progress. She’s passionate about the mind-body connection and seamlessly integrates this into therapy sessions, promoting holistic healing when appropriate. Gabby’s adaptability shines as she customizes treatment plans to suit the unique needs of each individual client, ensuring the highest level of care. Gabby specializes in assisting clients navigate a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, panic, depression, grief and loss, trauma, relationship issues, community stressors, financial hardships, addiction, and other related concerns. She collaborates closely with her clients to gain a deep understanding of their individual experiences, thereby providing authentic support throughout their journey. Education and Mental Health Therapy Experience
Gabby’s educational background includes receiving a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling, both from the University of Pittsburgh. She earned her National Certified Counselor title from the National Board for Certified Counselors, NBCC, in 2020. Gabby has been practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2023.
Hobbies and Interests
Gabby enjoys spending time with her 3 year old corgi, Melvin, who is known to make appearances at the Counseling and Wellness Center’s Monroeville location from time to time. She practices meditation and gentle body movement regularly as hobbies that help to ground her and keep her well. She can often be found reading, crocheting, and baking when she is not working.
