Edisa graduated Magna Cum Laude from Point Park University, where she maintained Dean’s List Honors through the duration of her undergraduate degree. Edisa is a member of Chi Sigma, Iota- Delta Upsilon Chapter; a counseling Honors society. With respect to her Master’s cohort, Edisa ranks 90th percentile relative to peers. Her grit towards her education is ameliorated through the direct quality of clinical care provided. Edisa participated in research focused on; Psychology and Religion, Antipsychotic Medications, Near Death Experiences, Human Rights and psychology, The Nature versus Nurture Debate, Positive Psychology, Understanding Trauma and social stressors from the perspectives of the non-white population, and Mystical Experiences. Edisa’s undergraduate senior thesis provided research on the topic of Intergenerational Trauma among migrant communities with war experiences.
Edisa is an immigrant from Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition to being fluent in English, she is fluent in various dialects of the Bosnian language. Edisa has spent the entirety of her educational experience in Pittsburgh, PA. Her personal life experiences have encouraged her advocacy for equity among all walks of human life. Edisa embodies a strong work ethic; a dedication to diversity, equity, advocacy, and inclusion.
Hobbies and Interests
Edisa spends much of her free time with her family and her Maltese dog, Prince. Edisa enjoys many outdoor activities and shopping. Her close relationship with her family has encouraged her pursuit in the field of psychology.
