Emily Boudreaux
Emily Boudreaux, MA, NCC, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive experience across various therapeutic settings. She brings expertise in behavior modification therapy and guidance, family therapy, individual counseling, and couples counseling, where she is dedicated to helping couples foster deeper connection and understanding.
Emily believes that every client—whether an individual, couple, or family—is unique and deserves a personalized approach to therapy. She understands that seeking help takes courage, and she offers a compassionate, neutral perspective to walk with clients through their journey.
Using a person-centered approach, Emily integrates a range of therapeutic modalities to meet the needs of each couple she works with. She draws on methods such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method to enhance couples’ communication and strengthen relationships, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavior Modification Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Expressive Arts Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to support broader therapeutic goals.
Education and Experience
Emily earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University of Alexandria and her Master of Arts in Counseling from Geneva College. Throughout her career, she has held various roles, including Behavioral Specialist Consultant, using Behavior Modification, Mobile Therapist, Family-Based Therapist, and School-Based Therapist. Emily has worked with individuals, families, and couples across the lifespan, ranging from children as young as three to adults in their 80s.
Hobbies and Interest
When Emily isn’t helping others grow and thrive, she focuses on her own personal development. She enjoys spending time with her puppy, Roux, and connecting with nature. Emily is passionate about boxing and embracing new challenges, with her most exciting adventure of 2024 being skydiving. She has also incorporated horseback riding into her self-care routine and looks forward to exploring how this practice can enhance her work with others.
