Ivory Drewery
As an intern at the Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh, Ivory Drewery is proud to offer sliding scale therapy because he believes that financial hardships should not stand in the way of mental health treatment. Therapy can be life changing and everyone should have access to sliding scale therapy. Ivory primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy CBT and Person-Centered approaches with this patients. He treats patients affected by depression, stress, and grief and he’s experienced with individual counseling, couples therapy, child therapy, grief counseling, family counseling, and substance abuse counseling. He serves the LGBTQ population and believes the LGBTQIA community deserves to be supported and affirmed in their identity and to have meaningful access to mental health support and resources. Ivory is dedicated to assisting clients reach their full potential and maintaining positive mental health. He encourages and empowers his clients through positive thinking and empathy to construct healthy coping mechanisms to operate in everyday life.
Education & Experience
Ivory Drewery received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from West Virginia University in 2016. He is currently working towards his master’s degree in Clinical Mental and Counseling Psychology.
He has worked with the Autism population in the city of Pittsburgh with Kaleidoscope Family Solutions. Ivory has also been a direct support professional to individuals with mental health disorders, addiction disorders and autism.

Working with a Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh intern means you’ll get direct support from a counselor in training backed by an entire team of experts! The intern will get the experience they need to help even more people, and you will get support from a group of amazing therapists. All of our interns offer Sliding Scale Therapy.
Hobbies & Interests
When not in counseling sessions, Ivory is an avid gamer and sports enthusiast. The Steelers, Pirates and Penguins are the most important things to him besides his girlfriend and son. Ivory practices self care by cooking, baking and going to the gym. These self-care practices allow him to be creative and release energy in a positive form.
