Kween Sirnic
As a Black therapist, Kween Sirnic’s personal and professional experiences afford her the insight and empathy to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where clients, particularly those who hold marginalized identities, feel heard and valued.
Kween works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and other challenges, creating a therapeutic partnership that empowers and uplifts. She is particularly passionate about helping teens address self-esteem issues, guiding them to develop confidence and a stronger sense of self-worth. Guided by a client-centered philosophy, she tailors her approach to each person’s unique needs and goals, integrating holistic practices that address emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.
Counseling Intern
As a counseling intern at the Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh, Kween brings personal strengths like patience, active listening, and deep empathy to build meaningful connections with clients. Her warm presence fosters trust, supporting individuals in their personal growth journey.
While she’s in the early stages of her career, Kween benefits from mentorship and the guidance of an experienced team of therapists, ensuring you receive exceptional support. As an intern, Kween offers Sliding Scale Therapy, giving you access to quality care while she continues to refine her skills under the guidance of seasoned professionals.
Education and Experience
Kween earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Bethany College and is currently enrolled in the advanced Master of Social Work program at Concord University, where she is honing her knowledge and skills to become a compassionate and an effective therapist.
Hobbies and Interests
Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Kween prioritizes balance and self-care. She enjoys taking yoga and Pilates classes, which promote both physical health and mindfulness – values she integrates into her therapeutic philosophy. In her free time, Kween also enjoys spending quality time with friends and engaging in self-care activities that keep her grounded and recharged.
