Welcome to a space created just for you at the Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh—an empowering environment for young adults to share, connect, and thrive in our online support group.
How Would I Benefit From Group Therapy for Young Adults?
Starting college and entering adulthood can be challenging, especially when you’re navigating the experience of living on your own for the first time. This phase of life introduces a multitude of changes like gaining independence, discovering your identity, being away from friends and family and mastering how to manage your time and balance your life during college. It’s entirely normal to feel stressed or anxious as you find your way in the world.
In fact, according to the American College Health Association, a survey conducted in 2017 with almost 48,000 college students revealed that 64% said they had felt “very lonely” in the previous 12 months. We’re here to support you so you don’t have to handle it all alone.
Our young adult support group, designed specifically for young adults and college students, offers a specialized environment for candid conversations and meaningful connections. Engage with your peers who share similar experiences, fostering a sense of belonging and alleviating the burden of loneliness. If you’re searching for a support group for young adults, you’ve found the right place.
