Bella Baiano
My name is Bella Baiano, and I am a master’s-level intern providing mental health services to individuals, families, and couples. I am passionate about utilizing child play therapy to meet children where they are and help them thrive, drawing on my experience as a kindergarten teacher. I am pleased to also provide support for children diagnosed with Autism and ADHD.
I support individuals facing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, panic disorder, and substance use. We will work together to understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence what you’re experiencing, and create a plan of action to achieve your goals at a pace that feels right for you.
My primary approaches are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and play therapy. CBT, with its roots in cognitive restructuring, is effective in helping clients gain a more positive outlook on life. Motivational interviewing can uplift and empower clients and help them foster self acceptance and self awareness. Child Play Therapy helps children develop cognitive coping skills and allows for age-appropriate communication that children can easily understand and relate to.
I recognize and acknowledge the courage it takes to get mental health counseling and commend you for taking that step. Having been in counseling myself, I understand how important it can be to seek support. It is of the utmost importance to me to cultivate a judgment-free and safe space for you and to know that you are not alone in your struggles.
Education and Experience
I currently hold a bachelor’s degree in childhood education from West Virginia University, which provided me with a strong foundation in understanding child development and learning. I am continuing my education and will graduate in 2026 from Carlow University with a master’s degree in professional counseling, where I am gaining the skills and training necessary to support individuals, families, and children in achieving their mental health goals.
Hobbies and Interests
I enjoy spending time with friends, family, and my cat, Luna. I love reading, going for walks, trying out new healthy recipes, and going to the gym — all of which help me take care of both my physical and mental health.
I’m also fascinated by true crime and enjoy listening to podcasts that explore its psychology. Cosmetology is another passion of mine, and I love doing my own hair, lashes, and nails, often drawing inspiration from the world around me for new nail designs every few weeks. I also enjoy reality TV, which gives me a fun escape from everyday stress.
