Pamela Skovira, MA, LMFT, is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a history of experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings providing individual therapy as well as couples therapy and family counseling. Her employment history allowed her to gain opportunities to treat varying age groups and demographics. Her career began working in a partial hospitalization program for children ranging in age from 6-14 years. From there, she transitioned to a residential treatment program for teenagers ranging in age from 12-21 years old. As a marriage and family therapist, Pamela understands that all of our interactions impact our daily lives, so the couples counseling treatment that she provides maintains a strong focus on developing and maintaining healthy and positive intimate and family relationships. While Pamela is passionate about family and couples work, she also has long standing experience working with individuals, especially children and adolescents. Pamela works through a systemic lens, while implementing interventions and practices from several theories, primarily focusing on providing compassion and support while challenging clients to explore other perspectives. Pamela also values the importance of exploring how different systems impact each individual, whether it be work, school, or other services in their lives. Pamela incorporates all of this while tailoring treatment to each individual, couple, or family that she is working with.
