Paige Cholewinski, LSW, HSV specializes in working with school aged children, individuals, and families. Paige has had experience helping people recover from anxiety, depression, and stress management. Paige will work with you to help you develop skills to manage your anxiety, stress, and depression to name a few common mental health diagnosis that she has helped people heal from. She highly believes in the potential of each person and understands the impact of environment. With Paige as your therapist, you will collaboratively work to acknowledge all of the factors that have created barriers your growth as you simultaneously uncover goals and opportunities that allow for a holistic results for you, the client. Everyone has their own starting point, strengths, and experiences to their life. It is important to acknowledge all of these when building new emotional and behavioral management skills.
Paige received her bachelor’s degree from Carlow University, majoring in Social Work with a minor in Criminal Justice. While she was studying at Carlow University, she interned at Catholic Charities providing counseling in the Pregnancy and Parenting Program. She worked with clients on pregnancy concerns, psychoeducation and family/marriage counseling. After graduating with her Bachelor’ s Degree, she went to the University of Pittsburgh for her Master’s in Social Work with a Home and School Visitor Certificate. At the University of Pittsburgh, Paige completed a field placement in an Elementary School within West Allegheny School District. Paige has had experience working with students ages Kindergarten thru Twelfth grade within Stress Management, Impulse Control, Pragmatic, and Social Emotional Groups as well as individual sessions. Paige is also a Licensed Social Worker within the state of PA. She uses Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Strength Based Approach, Mindfulness, and Structural Family Therapy (SFT).
Paige was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. In her spare time, she loves to take her one-year old Black Labrador Retriever, Luna, for walks on hiking trails around the city. Paige hopes to have Luna trained as a Therapy Dog and to one day use her as a part of her therapeutic approach in her sessions with clients. When not working, hiking, or playing with Luna, Paige can be found drinking Green Tea, reading a book or binge-watching Netflix. Self-care and mindfulness are essential to Paige, and she incorporates it within her practices to enhance her clients overall therapy experience.
